I know tickets to the Late Show with David Letterman are free, but it is first come first serve. I want to know if there is a process? If there is a price or prices, etc.

I absolutely love Good Eats, it’s my favorite, and Alton Brown rocks! His teachings are intelligently presented, he can be pretty anal, and he always keeps his whimsy. The show is informative, entertaining, and a lot of fun. Oh, and his dishes are YUMMY!

I like The Essence of Emeril better than Emeril Live. In EL, Emeril gets all cranked up and drives the audience wild, but in TEOE it feels more intimate, just one-on-one with him, which I really enjoy.

There was one a few years ago called Taste, hosted by David Rosengarten. He was really informative! If the show was about pine nuts, for example, he wouldn’t just present some pine nuts and talk about their usage. He would show different varities of pine nuts, talk about where they’re from, and even explain some of the pine nut industry. Verrryyy informative, and I loved it. I still miss Taste.

What Food Network shows do you enjoy, and why?
Oh yes, Paula Deen is wonderful, so comforting. Her foods are butter laiden, but they look really good.

Although I don’t like Rachael Ray’s tv personality - wayyy too cute and hyper - I do appreciate her quick cook ideas.

Everytime Emeril uses garlic the whole crowd cheers as if he just made the game winning field-goal. Why?

butter between the skin and the meat… so I did, now my turkey is looking burnt red in sploches… I am cooking it at 350. Is this ok? Or is my turkey now going to be burnt inside too? I don’t want to take it out of the oven for another 40 minutes… if I do I will let all the heat out of the oven… then I will have to cook longer… ugh. its a 22 lb turkey.

Seems like lately all they have shown on the Food Network are gimicky shows like “Unwrapped” and all the shows with “Guy”, their contest winner who is just downright annoying.

And now news that Emeril Live has been cancelled? Mario Batali leaves Food Network and Iron Chef America?

What on earth is going on at the Food Network? Bring back the actual cooking instead of the stupid competition shows. I know that making gum paste flowers is truly a complicated art form, but I’d rather see something else.

I know these are very hard tickets to come by. Can anyone pull some strings?

He talks about fish and says that if it smells like fish, then “throw it away”, like it’s bad or something. Well, I have cooked fish and fished in rivers, lakes, and oceans my whole life, and even live fish smell like “fish”.

What is he talking about? I know if it smells absolutely putrid that you shouldn’t use it, but all fish smells like fish; from day one. I have cooked fish around a campfire less than 2 hours after pulling it from the water and it still smells like fish. What is Emeril blabbering about when he says this?

I’ve been watching Emeril Live for a long time, and I’ve noticed that he never yells “bam!” anymore. Does anyone know why??
